If you live in Lee county and have a spare couple of hours, think about maybe donating them to our Community Cooperative. It’s a great way to get out of the house, meet some really nice people, and donate a small portion of your time to making a difference in our community. Our snow birds are leaving and with their departure, they leave a void in the community where their volunteer efforts make a huge difference.
Community Cooperative needs volunteers for Meals on Wheels, to pick up food donations from various organizations (food that might otherwise go to waste), and various other tasks. They don’t take too much time and it’s a really great cause. Community Cooperative relies on volunteers to keep approximately 87% of their services running smoothly. Please visit them at https://communitycooperative.com/ to learn more.
If you don’t have the time, then think about donating. Any little bit helps. However, I’d say try out the volunteering gig. The worst that can happen will be that you say it’s not for you, but at least you tried something new 😉
